Perhaps, but it’d be kinda difficult for a person who’d otherwise not be involved to stay outside of the engaged fold if a pollster walks up and engages him directly on the issue. I wouldn’t count that along the same lines as if the person chose independently to get involved. Their response to the poll may be spur of the moment, even arbitrary.
